The theme of this week end´s DC ( drawing challenge ) is a tricky and yet fascinating one for me: 

Metamorphosis

Somehow I begun to think about water and its different forms. During the seasons of the year I am able to see and feel them all. I love to see the whiteness of snow in different shades as well as the grey, blue, green and even pink color the sea gets during the short but bright and wonderful summer. 

I am also thinking of the vital importance of clean water and the sea and ocean areas. See this:( and this:)

Well, after a while I found myself playing with the metamorphosis of me myself:) There are some photos and self portraits, which show that I feel I am in the process of metamorphosis all the time!

My DC is - once again - without any drawings nor is my interpret quite according to the title..

We did get a wonderful, white Christmas: it is so beautiful!
It was nice to have family round the table having dinner and playing games.

BLINIs!

A small pancake, of Russian origin, made from buckwheat flour; traditionally served with melted butter, sour cream and caviar or smoked salmon

instead of salmon or caviar you can have onions, capers or olives:)

On Saturday I was visiting Rauma, my old home town.
These pics are taken near and from Pinnala, the Art Museum.
First snow is early this year and will probably disappear next week.

Tänäp mää ole ilone, valone ja pulune

 

 Kuunteli maailma hianoint sello biisi, se on tua Joutsen. 

Se on kyl vähä surulline, mut kevät siit tul miäle - taik joutsenist ny ainaki.

Mää muisti Laaksose Heli runo "Maa liikku", 

siin mummu tuleva mulla alt tulppanitte mukan: 

"..joka mummul oma kukkane, joka kukkases oma mummu.."

Ja sit mää päädysi kuuntelema Heli Laaksose äänikirja.

Ole saan se lahjaks ny ko lähre uut alkku kohre.

Mut nyy mää lopeta kuuntelu ja kuvatte tekemise ja lähre ulos aurinkko.

I listened the finest cello track on earth: The Swan by Saint-Saens. 

Swans remind me of the spring as well as the joyful poems by Heli Laaksonen.

I have been working with wood cuts but now it is time to take a break and go out enjoy the sunshine.
