Mikrokosmos - Microcosm

Four Artists are working experimentally, exploring the intersections between human life, art and science at Sepän talo.
Raumars Artist in Residence Irene Rogan has invited Tarja Kyllijoki, Katarina Mannio, Leena Vainio, to work with her in an unconventional way towards the creation of art that uses the model of the microcosm as an artistic proposition and is engaged with the practice of research and experimentation as a public act.
Throughout the project the artists will open the doors for ‘public observation’ of the works-in-progress, watch out for the notices both outside Sepän talo door and through social networks. 
The project officially begins at Sepän talo on the same day the house celebrates its 90th Birthday the 22nd May 2015.

November Workshop

 

The ultimate darkness made me paint light and bright onto two big canvases.

It has been  an energetic and intensive day and I am satisfied with some of the details. 

Working often goes smoothly and quickly to some point but I assume next time it will be difficult to see how to continue  ...

The Game of Life

Energinen ja työntäyteinen työpajapäivä on takana. 

Isojen kankaitten maalaaminen sujui intensiivisesti ja vauhdilla.

Pimeys ulkona sai tarttumaan erityisen valoisiin ja vaalaeisiin väreihin ja paletti pysyi (minulle) harvinaisen selkeänä ja niukkana pinkin ja vihreän sävyissä.

Joihinkin yksityiskohtiin olen tyytyväinen,

mutta kokonaisuuden kanssa seuraavalla kerralla tulee olemaan haasteellista ja hidasta.
