Well, when thinking of butterflies I think about summer, sun and warmth.
And wings, symbolizing freedom and happiness: fluttering days of no worries..

These are my works or details of them, related to this theme and ideas.
Paintings are acrylic or oil on canvas.
The first picture is a detail of a mixed media piece, see here to see all of it.
The water photo below is from a tiny little romantic river.
There our son proposed his girl friend - and the answer was yes; now they are married:) .

The music is by my favorite a cappella group in Finland, Rajaton (= Boundless ).

Minäkin pidän Rajattoman musiikista, kyseistä laulua en ollut kuullut aiemmin.

I loved the hand in the snow with the butterfly of the finger, which is then counter balanced by your lovely warm, summery paintings.
VastaaPoistaDear Leena,
VastaaPoistahow romantic! ...this photo on the tiny little river... and the story.
Your coloured art work, really powerful!
x Ariane.
i opened the music to a different window, it suits the mood in your paintings fine, as i was exploring them; the fluttering of beating wings both in the colours and the movement of your paintings. ..
VastaaPoistan♥
Thank you Victoria, Rosemary, Ariane and Nadine for your kind comments:) I really love this theme, thank you Nadine for that, too!
VastaaPoistadear leena, so wonderful to visit you again, i am totally speechless about your paintings. wonderful, beautiful, strong! the second painting is pure power and light! wow. x julia
VastaaPoistaDear Leena, Rajatons' music just butterflied through the room, airy and beautiful. I can see the btterfly's dance in your painting, it's colors reflecting the light, wonderful! x
VastaaPoistaOlen luonnossa liikkuja, vietän kesällä tuntikausia järvellä vaihtelevia värejä ihaillen ja tunnelmasta nauttien ja kuvia ottaen kuvitellen saavani vangituksi jotain talven varalle, parhaita kuvat noista hetkistä ovat kyllä muistikuvat, eivät ne valokuvat.
VastaaPoistaNyt kyllä jäin kiinni tuohon sinun viimeiseen kuvaasi aivan kuin siihen yötaivaasta värejä keräävään järven pintaan.
Kiitos !
Rajattoman konsertteihin menemme tyttären perheen kanssa aina kun mahdollista :)
Julia, Renilde, dear ladies, thank you:)
VastaaPoistaLeena, Kiitos kommenteistasi! Rajattoman musiikki on niin kaunista:)
Beautiful colours and light in your paintings and I nearly felt the butterfly's wings moving the air...
VastaaPoistaI never came round to your Butterfly post before now! I have troubles with my back, and cannot sit with my lap top as much as I want to. But I love your paintings and pictures. I love your use of colour! I am looking forward to see more of your work!
VastaaPoistaThank you, Tania and Lise:) Lise, hope your back is better!
